ah memories

I remember as a child around 1985ish when videos shops started popping up everywhere (what i wouldnt give to back into one of the old shops now and see all those videos on the shelf) and seeing this on the shelf and obsessing about it for a while before my mum let me get it.
A couple of years ago I saw it again on Pay TV here in Australia, i felt 6 years old again.

just thought I'd share that

ah yes, I too must have been six the first time I saw this. The year was 1975. I watched it every Halloween season when it was aired. I have just rented it through the mail and I anxiously await its arrival. I think I may weep when I see my old friends again.

Same here, dolh...early 70's for me. One year, one of our local NYC stations aired it (foolishly) on Halloween night itself and I gave up trick or treating to watch it. My brother thought I was nuts when I told him to go without me, but I'm sure I remember that Halloween more vividly than he does! :)

I bought it last night and watched it with my 3 year old daughter. It will be a yearly tradition in our home. I agree, I felt like a kid again, I haven't seen it in over 30 years. It still holds up.

I remember watching this in the mid 80's, it was one of the movies featured in the Family Film Festival hosted by Tom Hatten. Fond memories watching this and other great films.
