Something is off here

Tokyo is over 3500 miles away from the North Pole. Kong escaped from the North Pole and a few minutes later, he ends up all the way in Tokyo. Same with the 3 people who also escaped from the North Pole and like Kong, they also were swimming. It doesn't make sense they all ended up in Tokyo in record time.
