Sequel to Godzilla vs. The Sea Monster?

I know it's not really the sequel, but it's definatly the twin brother of that movie. The music, dubbing, and effects are all from the same teams as Godzilla vs the Sea Monster, which is not in any way a bad thing. And it's one of the " island " godzilla films, so it almost feels as though it is a continuation of GVTSM. This movie is great. The music is awesome and mid 60's. The dubbing is some of the best, the actors don't sound like they are dubbing a film. And the Monster scenes are also great and hilarious, especially the scenes where they are just making noises at eachother. Godzilla's face is kind of poorly designed but there aren't many closeups on his face anyway. All the godzilla websites say this is #2 in trilogy of island godzilla films along with the sea monster. What #3 is I have no idea.

Another reason this is a great Godzilla movie is because you hear the monsters loud screams in many scenes where they are not in the shot, like in Godzilla Vs. The Sea Monster.

This is a great movie, as far as godzilla movies go. Godzilla Vs. The Sea Monster and Godzilla Vs. The Smog monster are my two personal favorites but this one definatly ranks high up there. It's a very fun. The only thing I'd change about it is the lack of model vehicles, buildings, planes and ships. But all in all a great godzilla movie. Get it on VHS with the original dubbing!!

Hi gojiramatthew:

I was thinking about the same theory as well of how "Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster" and "Son of Godzilla" are connected: Godzilla was swimming away in the ocean at the end of "Godzilla vs. Sea Monster" and was first spotted swimming towards the island in the ocean in "Son of Godzilla." Some minds think alike.

(By the way, I don't work for the Bush Administration).

I know that "Son of Godzilla" follows "Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster" in the Showa series timeline, so I am not basing on the films' connection solely on the fact that Godzilla was in the water. I just thought it was interesting to note that Godzilla was seen swimming in the end of "Sea Monster" and first seen swimming in the start of "Son of Godzilla."

I respect your right to disagree, but I do find your "Bush Administration" comment a little out of line.

In the Showa series, continuity is thin at best; you guys are putting more thought into it than the filmmakers probably did.
Son of Godzilla is a sequel to Godzilla vs Seamonster; question answered.

After the first six Godzillas, which are in loose continuity and often refer to earlier entries, it's "continuity, what's that?"
