Best J.B. Film adaptation

I had watched a few film adaptations of the Jungle Book, and some people like a few, and hate a few because they think it doesn't follow the original stories. Well, I love a few:

Films:
The Jungle Book (1942, live action),
Disney's The Jungle Book, and...
Mowgli (1967,Russian animated).

And TV specials:
The White Seal,
Mowgli's Brothers, both directed by Chuck Jones

Now we can include the recent 2016 adaptation as another good one.

Adaptations to check out:

The 1942 version starring Sabu
Both Disney versions from 1967 & 2016
The live-action one from 1994
Adventures of Mowgli (Russian animated series from late 60s-early 70s)
Mowgli's Brothers by Chuck Jones (he also did Kipling's White Seal and Rikki-Tikki-Tavi)

Avoid these:

The Jungle Book 2 - another one of Disney's cheap cookie cutter sequels to their classics
Mowgli & Baloo - cheap DTV movie
Mowgli's Story - another low budget DTV "film" to avoid at all costs

As technically impressive as the live action/CGI non musical remake of 2016 was, you completely forget about it once you go back and watch this magnificent animated version which simply can never be surpassed.
