I know those are the colors of the Swedish flag, but do both movies connect in any other way?

Do you need to watch them as a set?

I had never heard of this movie before until the other day when I was on wikipedia and they had an article on their main page about the oldest tree in Scandinavia and they noted that the sex scenes for this movie were shot inside the tree.

OUCH!!, I hope they had a "splinter wrangler" on the set...
