DDT??


This was a very powerful insecticide which was banned late 1960s or 70s.
And these people used it to clear up a case of the crabs or whatever?
Hopefully the DDT label was just a label and not the real stuff being applied to their bodies.

I grew up on a farm and my father would not let me close to the stuff which came in 55 gallon metal drums. Protective clothing had to be worn to handle the liquid.

Actually, the U.S. is probably one of the only countries that doesn't use it, although we still produce it... and it's not all that powerful, matter of fact, there's a lot of question that it does anything to humans at all. It's one of the main things used for mosquito abatement in the tropics
