What the heck was that penultimate scene, a FLEA DIP????

Okay, the film was boring me to tears so I started fast-forwarding the Hulu.com feed. I stopped at the next to last scene. Lena and her boyfriend are being given very thorough, very non-erotic baths by a couple of bored middleaged attendants. They end up standing there in doorways of seperate rooms while the attendants paint them with clear goo and tell them to rub the stuff into their groins.
Meanwhile the film crew is standing or sitting around in the outside hallway, even more bored than I was.
And what's the payoff for that scene? The now fully dressed couple leave and the film ends.
