When Flint is on the Russian flight after he escapes from Moscow and before he bails out of the plane with a parachute to land just perfectly in the ocean outside of Fabulous Face, why does he make sure the pilots are bound and gagged.
They played that whole scene to be funny of course but why did he tie up the pilots? He could have given them their cigars, walked out of the cockpit and still bailed out.

No those Commies didn't do anything that we or Flint know of, the guys on the plane (in Die Hard)crashed another plane with over a 100 people not to mention the deacon at the church and that poor guy the Maj killed on the truck
