would I sure like to see this one! This film sounds insane! I must see it! Does anybody have any links or knowledge on how to track this little stink nugget down? Hurry!

Really??? Oh I'm very interested. I've been looking for this one for YEARS.
Same goes for Porgy and Bess, (the version starring Dorothy Dandrige and Sidney Poitier).

I seem to be one of the few people who like "Hurry Sundown." I suspect that 50 years after it was made, it doesn't seem to be as dated as it seemed at the time. Racism hasn't gone away; it's just more discreet. Although the movie was long, I was never bored, and I thought the cast was outstanding. "Hurry Sundown" and "The Chase" both got terrible reviews, and yet I enjoy them both, and I love watching some of Hollywood's best talent at the beginning of their careers.
