Anyone else think Smitty is hotter than Rosemary?
Nothing against Michelle Lee, who's a very attractive and charming woman. But that Smitty...must be the glasses. Her bump and grind in "A Secretary is Not a Toy" knocks me out.

shareI would still vote for Michelle Lee but then I'd vote for her in every movie she's been in.
shareI think Maureen Arthur is sexier than any of them! The woman was built like a brick *beep* house!!!! <G>
A bit OT but was very impressed with Ruth Kobart in this, and wish she had made more films....The perfect dish for the right person. I did not recognize her at first in "Sister Act"....
"A child of five would understand this. Send someone to fetch a child of five."
I don't know. Just how I would answer this. I first saw this film. When it first came out at Radio City Music Hall. And I was 12 (going on 13).
When I first saw Hedy (Maureen Arthur)! All I could say was WOW!
I just saw this film again today (I had the day off. And saw it on TCM). When I again saw Maureen Arthur. I have to again say. WOW!
There's just something about her performance. Maybe because she really played against type (normally the "dumb secretaries" are blondes. And not redheads)?
I just really don't know? Maybe it's a "Lucy" thing. And I never "loved" "I Love Lucy". In fact the only episode I ever watch. Is the one with George Reeves. As "Superman".
When I see Maureen Arthur in this film. And then remember her in later years in "Empty Nest" and other TV shows when she got really fat and ugly. I almost cry.
It's just so hard to imagine when she was a "looker".
But this film. Reminds me of just that time! When she was HOT! In a very Anita Morris (God Rest Her Soul) sort of way. Yet dumber!
As for Smitty! I'd ply her with a few drinks. Have my way with her. Then go home to Rosemary.
Of course. Michelle Lee was then. And is now someone I would never kick out of bed!
That's my story. And I'm sticking to it!
I'm seven years too late to the thread, but I wholeheartedly agree. When I first saw the movie as a young teen, I had an instant crush on her.
shareI've only just watched the movie, and I wholeheartedly agree. She was gorgeous.
shareSmitty --and those glasses. Yes!

She seems to be a very capable young woman.
