Ronald Lacey is credited as a character in this movie named Spool
and I just watched this film the other night and couldn´t find out
who Spool is.
Can anyone help me?

I didn´t realise until the end credits that he was played by the same guy who also portrayed the sadistic Toht in my favorite movie - Raiders of the lost ark.

He's standing behind Clapper (Roy Kinnear) when Clapper breaks his balsa wood rifle in the early parade ground sequence. A couple of minutes before that he complains of having a splinter.
