How I spent my summer vacation (Robert Wagner 1967)

Does anyone out there have this on tape? I'd love a copy and it's not being shown anywhere.

reply

I don't have a copy but I sure wish I did.

Did you ever find this?

If so are more available?

Add me to the list that would love a copy of this film. Saw it about 20 years ago and never forgot it. Jill St. John has never been better. I can still hear Robert Wagner's voiceover in the poison gas filled elevator saying "All I could ever do was hold my breath longer than anyone else."

Alsa,
Since this was a made for TV movie I haven't had any luck tracking it down.
There are a number of other equally obscure flicks that I'd like to find but I kind of hah my heart set onthis one and never got on to finding them.
FYI
"Performance" with Mick Jaggers
"S.O.B." with Julie Andrews, William Holden, Preston Foster
"Getting Straight" with Eliot Gould

to name a few.
Regards
Cris

if you believe the film accidentally discussed a real-life international conspiracy a la Thrush from THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. or SPECTRE from James Bond, then it's no wonder you can't find a print.
This film is the flip side of THE USUAL SUSPECTS. Here, the Kevin Spacey character is played by Peter Lawford. But even Kyzer Soze has to answer to someone, in this case, Walter Pidgeon.
No, scratch that. Walter Pidgeon IS the Kyzer Soze character, in view of the fear he arouses in Peter Lawford.
Was the international criminal organization discussed in HOW I SPENT... perhaps inspired by that old stand-by, the [shudder] Illuminati? This reminds me of a funny story. Back in the Sixties, someone wrote a letter to PLAYBOY suggesting that the organization called SPECTRE in the 007 films was inspired by the Illuminati. After all, creator Ian Fleming once belonged to British intelligence. When the Illuminati high command saw THUNDERBALL, they realized Fleming was talking about them. So they arranged his "death by cancer."
Perhaps the Peter Lawford character was based on David Rockefeller, said by some to be the most powerful man in the world. Here's some more funny anecdotes:

"David Rockefeller is so powerful that in 1964 he went to Moscow to fire
one of his employees-Nikita Khrushchev."

"David Rockefeller keeps Jimmy Hoffa's gold-plated thumb as a paperweight."

Enough paranoia. If anyone ever gets a copy of the film, please post it here...before it's too late.

I saw this title when aired (if I remember correctly it was NBC affiliates?) and have been searching for years! I secured a copy of a little known English Film when available from an On-Line Seller and am considering writing the Actor (Robert Wagner) through the AMA to see if he may be able to secure a copy for me or possibley secure the rights to the title for duplication and sale. I will keep you all informed of my progress....

THANK YOU! I could just kiss you! Please let us know how we may purchase the film. If we don't hear back from you, well, the Conspiracy strikes again!

I talked to a woman who actually had this on 35mm, is that it? What it's on in theaters? She and someone else went in together and bought it but now neither knows where it went. Strange! Also, I heard that Robert Wagner would like to have this movie himself. It's like it has disappeared.
Any info, post on here and to everyone who is looking, please.
