Looking at the full credit listing, it says Ben Johnson plays an uncredited gunman who took $50 to be a lookout during the Morgan and Virgil shootings. That's gotta be a mistake, isn't it?

That character in the movie was Andy Warshaw, played by Steve Ihnat, and is gunned down by James Garner's Earp. I'll admit Ihnat even resembles Ben Johnson, but I've seen enough westerns to know who Ben Johnson is.

Am I wrong, or is that in fact Ben Johnson?

yeah, that's not Ben. Ben would've at least ridden a horse.

Sans facial hair, Ben Johnson actually played the wife of the barber who witnesses the shooting of Virgil Earp. Ol' Ben liked to get in touch with his feminine side every once in a while and appear in drag. The scene is in in a darkened room, so it is hard to recognize him. I've been trying to get IMDB to correct this for years but for some reason they keep telling me to stuff it.

Ben Johnson is not in this movie.

I can't believe there's three threads on a single board page dealing with the non-appearance of Ben in this movie.

Does prove one thing. He was a it of a legend.

No Ben Johnson but did you catch Jon Voight in 1 of his earlier roles as Curly Bill Brocius and for a small part I thought did well! Curly Bill was featured more prominently in later versions..
