Press Premiere in Miami

For those interested in trivia about this film: A huge 3-day press premiere was held in Miami Beach, culminating in a black-tie showing of the film at the newly opened Sunny Isles Twin Theater on Saturday, January 21, 1967. Warner Bros. was reported to have spent over $50,000 in air fare to fly in over 200 members of the national and international press for the event. The event was attended by Catherine Spaak, Merle Oberon, Richard Conte, Kevin McCarthy, Richard Quine, and Arthur Hailey. A featurette of the event was available on 16mm for promotion of the film. A vinyl album of interviews with several of the stars was also available for promotion. It's a shame that we have not been able to get this material as extras on a nice DVD release.
