I screwed up.....

Tequila and mescal are made from the guava plant, not cactus.
That's what the cowboys were teasing the Indians about, that "tisma" was made from a cactus plant.
A cheap alcoholic beverage.
But then again, maybe we'll still meet at Delgado's and discuss this.
And yeah, the first round is still on me for my fellow "Hombre" fans.

route661: Since you're a valued member of the Hombre Board, we appreciate your research into the matter of Tequila, Mescal and Tisma.

I heard that there'll be a special run to Delgado's in the "mud wagon" but there aren't any tickets to be had...except for an ex-Army trooper booked on the trip who is...how-we-say...open to be "discouraged" from using his ticket!

If you buy the Mescal, I'll get the nachos!

As a native Texan, I chuckled at your explanation of mezcal and tequila. Mezcal is made from the maguey plant, a succulent of the agave family. Tequila is made specifically from the blue agave plant. A "guava" on the other hand, is a tropical fruit. But, perhaps you knew this and your autofill sabotaged you by replacing the intended "agave" with "guava".
