Does anybody know if the dvd version is in letterbox format? I saw this movie back in '67 and would like to see it again in its theatrical format. I don't want to end up acquiring what I already have in vhs (which is in full screen).
shareIt is in widescreen and compared to the older vhs release I had years ago, the quality is fantastic! Nothing really for extras, but the menus are quite cool and there is also a trailer. Considering the great quality it is well worth the price. Jack Nicholson and Adam Roarke are awesome in this movie.

amazon have it, $17. Watched this for the first time last night, enjoyed it overall, thought it looks great on DVD, i was expecting it to be kinda cheap and grainy looking with it being a nearly 40 year old 'b' movie, so i was surprised at the quality. Thought the end was a bit crappy though!

The ending a bit crappy? It was really bad. The original ending was beleavable. After the movie wrapped, it was discovered that the camara had jammed. The movie company went back to Bakersfield CA, where it was shot, to do it over. When they got to Bakersfield, they called me to ride the bike through the window. I refused. So, short on time, they cobbled together an obvious dummy and shot an ending that sucks. The ending isn't any worse than the music score.

I have a DVD from Peace Arch that is in widescreen, and the picture quality is excellent. No extras though.
What do you think this is, a signature? It's a way of life!
