Just me?

Just watched this movie for the first time yesterday. And was it just me or did anyone else think the daughter was going to end up with the Irish butler? Maybe I just liked the idea of it, but it felt like it would have worked out nicely.

For some reason I didn't really feel the relationship between Cordy and Angie. After their first dance/duet together when Angie started talking about cars and Cordy looked all bored, I thought, "Wow, are they really not gonna end up together? Even after they sang the classic Disney type duet together?" Stupid tothink that way, but every time a moment like that came up between them, I got excited.

My two favorite characters were probably John (?) and Cordy, so of course the idea of them together wouldn't leave my mind.

I realize the whole point of Cordy's and Angie's little spats was so when he finally decided to speak for himself and INSISTED Cordy marry him, it would show how he'd matured.

I understand what the movie was trying to pull off and I guess her getting with the butler wouldn't have had such a strong lesson, but I still kinda wish they'd have gotten together.
