Makeup artist should have been shot

... or was that the style women affected in the late '60s?

Pasty grey-white makeup heavy on the face but nowhere to be seen on the neck. Very clown-like. It was very apparent with both Hepburn and Houghton, but even worse in Houghton's case.

Why didn't the cinematographer or the director step in and say something?

The worst one was the singer at the club or bar or wherever it was, she looked like the bride of Dracula.

"You! Yeah you, the makeup artist. Go to that wall and don't ask any questions. You very well know that your makeup in this film is bad and you deserve to lose your life by a bullet".

Doesn't sound logical to me. Maybe I'm a jerk but I feel a firing would have sufficed.
