Not sure why it took me so long to watch The Graduate, but here I am watching it and noticed that the opening scene with Dustin Hoffman on the people mover is almost exactly the same as Pam Grier in Jackie Brown.
Damn Tarantino.

About the two scenes though, they couldn't be more different! ;)
Just kidding, they are the same but the characters couldn't be more different. Jackie Brown is this strong, mature and confident women, and he is the nervous boy just out of school. Which makes them almost opposites and makes the comparison really interesting. A true homage, not a copy!
Same here - I'd never seen this movie before and finally got around to it. I laughed to myself right away when I realized what the opening shot was. Nice tribute.
