am I the only one who freaks when Hopper licks that woman?

*spoilers*
I watched this on tv a while back when I was bored thinking I would not get passed the first 5 minutes and I probably wouldn't if the plot (thin as it was) of Hopper kidnaping that woman. I was strangly compeled; is he going to rape her? or kill her? how will they show that in a movie that clearly got most of its cast from of the numerous beach-a-go-go films? why is Hopper the only one that looks and acts like a real biker?

Finaly the climax so to speak happens when Hopper lays the girl down and percedes to lick her than leaves her and doesn't even look at her for the rest of the (painfuly long movie) After that you could stop watching in my opinion because all interest of what Hopper might do to the preppie looking girl is ruined and then he dies (which is kind of sad actually because all my interest in this filmm is now completly gone)
But what was interesting to me was that the licking scene ( which I wonder if it was the director or Hopper's idea) to me it symbolized theact of raping her or at least violating her because once he dominated her he was done with her basicly.

Maybe I'm nerdy but I just thought it was an interesting part of the movie and although I didnot really like the movie that scene and Hopper's performance overall in the movie have stuck in my mind?
am I the only one?
