anyone know the story here? where is she reported to have appeared in the film? thanks...

She was maried to the director @ the time it was released; but I din't think it is confirmed that she is in it. I have never noticed her & I have seen the movie several times. sB

I have to side with SickBoy76 and the other doubters. In one scene, Rommel talks to an artist who has been painting on a model's body. This could certainly make one think of Goldie Hawn, who sometimes go-go danced in a bikini while wearing body paint on "Laugh-In", but it's not her. My guess is that the notion that she's in this movie is just a result of this coincidence. The fact that she had recently married the director would add a little plausibility to the mistake.

This is far from solid information, but maybe it will help. I remember that there was a Ross Hagen Fan Club web site a few years ago (I can't find it anymore) which included a print interview with Ross. I seem to remember him saying that Goldie was in Sidehackers but I don't recall him saying where she is in the movie. I can't find the web site anymore, but here is a link to a different old web site that describes Ross Hagen's site. (It's also possible that she's in the uncut version and not in the MST3K version)

She was in it! I just watched my DVD of the MST3K version.

So who and where was she? (And why don't J&tBs mention her?)

reply

Oh, come on, this film was made during the late sixties. Everyone looked the same. Same hair, same beat music. Everyone in every film that year probably looked like they came out a Star Trek episode. Except for 2001: A Space Odyssey which featured that guy from the second pilot episode of trek. And only one person in the film was actually in a Star Trek episode. That was J.C., I think that was the Space Hippies episode.

"Help Me, Spock."
