Watching it again on TCM

I've seen this film so many times and yet always watch it when I see it on tv, even though I have the dvd! Such a tragic, haunting story. I know many say Julie C. was miscast, but I fell in love with her when I saw this on tv in the 70's.

They may think so but, having seen the movie before reading the book, I wouldn't have it any other way. I think everyone was cast well even though Terence Stamp had to grow on me.

Stamp, Finch and Bates were an amazing trio looking back now.

Did you like it?

Just DVR'D from TCM it for my 1st viewing of this film. Julie is delicious, as usual. TCM, bravo for the ultra wide-screen & great picture quality, plus leaving in "overture", "intermission" etc reminding us you show films uncut. Plus, TCM also had *McCabe & Mrs Miller" for my DVR, for another dose of Julie. 😍
