The above reviews explain the flaws of this film perfectly :you just don`t believe any of it!I`m reminded of another remarkable story of WW2 released in the uk a few years ago,supposedly based on truth, where two British dentists decide to sail across to France after Dunkirk & start a mini war:played for laughs like Triple Cross & totally ruined!

If anybody cares there is a uk dvd release on the cheapie Prism label which is the cut 120m version -widescreen ratio is approx 1.50:1 although it states incorrectly on the box 4:3(1.33:1).The German rg2 is the better buy as it`s full length & correct widescreen 1.66:1.-w/ English audio.

You know right away via the casting of Plummer as the working-class Chapman that it's downhill all the way from there. Eddie Chapman's story has been featured as the Book of the Week (Jan. 29-Feb. 2) on BBC4 radio, and it's worth a listen, even though it's abridged to a total of 75 minutes. You can listen for another week via www.bbc.co.uk/bbc4.

It`s called "Two Men Went To War"(2002).

Yep. Reads good. Looks bad. Expected more, especially with Yul Brynner.

For the record, I rated this film 3/10.

So many potentially-interesting actors in this hopelessly-anachronistic imitation-James Bond movie.

Why sweat?
Eddie Chapman was a notorious Liar .
And the film was about the same.
Most of the thing's Eddie Chapman claimed never happened.
British and German Records on the events are ether sealed for a lot longer or lost. so proof will probably never surface.
For an example early on in the War the Nazi spy ring implanted at the beginning of the war was discoverer and turned.
The odd couple of the group who would not be turned were imprisoned at the Tower of London and Executed there.
By using the group the damage the V1 and soon after the V2 were causing in London and other Targets were hidden rom the Germans and Because of false reporting of fake misses.
The Germans sent later strikes away from the London area and other Large Urbane areas around the country.
This was NOT REPEAT NOT THE DOING OF EDDIE.
In fact 99% of what Eddie claims to have done was utter fabrication.
Who was to disprove them?
He did how ever blow up a fake Generator plant Built at the Real Vickers plant.
Unlike a fake plant claimed by some body here.
Most of the tales in Agent ZIGZAG were utter rubbish made up by Eddie to impress the person writing it and give more credence to Eddie.
