In the summer of 1975, I was standing in line at the Santa Monica Employment Office and struck up a conversation with the guy in front of me. We hit it off well and he invited me over to his house that evening for snacks and wine.

His wife was an attractive blond, who, I'm guessing was born in the late 1940's. I didn't speak with her much because she mostly sat on the floor with a metal, triangular hat on her head. I was told by her husband that the triangle funneled energy into her body.

In the backyard was a professional grade, rectangular shaped, trampoline. Her husband explained that his wife worked as Sharon Tate's stunt double in the beach scene of, "Don't Make Waves." The scene where Sharon was jumping on the trampoline.

I can't remember the man's name or his wife's name but I had an enjoyable visit. Some other guys showed up and we all went into the garage, which was filled with musical instruments. I played the drums and the rest of the guys played guitars and keyboard.

Haven't been back since.

Wow! That's an incredibly large coincidence. Hmmm?

I remember in the mid 70's that whole "pyramid power" movement that was going on with the California crowd. People wearing pyramid hats, and sleeping under pyramid shaped canopies and stuff like that.

Interesting you mention this for Im watching the movie now. Im a huge Sharon Tate fan and that trampoline scene I kept thinking when they showed her jumping that it wasnt her sometimes becase of the hair. It looked longer than hers and it kept going across the face as if to camouflage it from being seen. APparently this had to be a double to do all those flips and turns. SOme of the closeups of course are of Sharon. I also wondered if the woman was wearing a wig for it didnt seem like real hair.

I think it was, but I was wondering more about whether a double was used when it first shows her dragging Tony Curtis out of the water, and there is a close up of her ass, which seems to be significantly larger than it is in the rest of the movie.

That's why you and I don't see eye-to-eye sometimes, Jack; because you're a man of science.

While Sharon was in great shape I'm sure she wasn't a gymnast. It takes some training to do all those flips I'm sure it wasn't her.

I always thought the trampoline flips were a double. But I never thought it was not Sharon pulling Tony out of the ocean. I did think her butt looked pretty big in the scene, but I blamed the camera angle and the gold lemay bikini. I have always noticed gold lemay makes keisters look bigger for some reason.

Definitely not Sharon in some of those shots, because when an actual star does stuff like that they make sure to show his/her face.

It shows a Paula Dell cast as the Gymnist in the beginnings scenes. If you check her out on IMDB it says she is also a stunt woman, who did stunts in 20 movies(Many well known). It shows the first movie she did stunts for was 1965. So could be her.

I think Paula Dell was the dark haired girl in the blue bikini doing the incredible routine on the double bars when Carlo first sees Muscle Beach. She may have been put in a blonde wig and doubled for Sharon on some of those trampoline flips - I agree it was hard to tell who was actually doing the trampoline flips because the face was out of frame or obscured, possibly on purpose.
