........Howard Alk is the cinematographer for this film and he is also listed as an actor in it - where does he appear? Also, Jones Alk is listed as both cinematographer and actor in the film, I believe this is really "Joan" Alk, wife of Howard. Does anyone know where she appears in the film?
shareHoward Alk appears in a few scenes...he appears in the scene where Dylan and Bob Neuwirth are snapping their fingers to the piano (hes next to dylan, big guy with a beard).
He also appears in the scene where a drunken Dylan inquires about the glass.
He's mentioned a time or two on the Dvd's commentary.
Per Jones Alk:
As Pennebaker points out in the commentary on the DVD, Jones was his soundperson, so she appears in the proceedings at several points: In the scene where Bob is talking to a local band covering his tunes, you will see a cute smiling blonde among them--that's Jones. She also appears in the infamous scene with the reporter from Time--you can see her in the background as Bob harangues him.
