Wasn't this plot was a basis for others?

It seems to me that this moie had a story line that was the basis for other movies and plays later on. for example, "Buona Sera, Mrs. Campbell," with Telly Savalas was similar in that the daughter had three "potential" fathers. Most recently, "Mamma Mia," written by Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, also had a single mother (Donna) with a daughter (Sophie) with three "possible" fathers.

Actually, she knows the man who is the father, and her mother knows, so there's no attempt to confuse anyone or keep secrets. It's simply that these men like her and care about her enough to offer to be a husband, which is very sweet. Each is ready to accept another man's child; none of them thinks, "That's mine." They know the truth, too. Nowadays, they'd likely have had her sleeping with all of these guys then not knowing which was the one. However, she DOES know, and she ends up with the father of her child.

Sounds like Maury, Montel, etc. on TV. "The DNA test is in. Joe, you ARE the father!"
