jn, I too will forever miss and mourn Bill Bixby. He died the day before my 25th birthday and every year since, I still feel the sting all over again. The world lost not only a great actor, but a wonderful man as well. He will never be replaced.

Well said. Bixby is one of my all time favorites. I just found out about this film yesterday when it was on TCM and of course he was terrific in it. I've already watched the film twice.
