English title translation doesn't make sense

Calling it "Monster from a Prehistoric Planet" makes no sense cause the thing isn't from a prehistoric planet. It's from earth present day.
So somebody should have taken alittle more time and thought up a better title.
But then again, watching this retarded film you have to wonder why they didn't think about making a better film at the same time.

You are right. First there are 3 monsters not one and they are from a south sea island not another planet.

It's pretty obvious to me, AIP tried to market this as part of a "series", together with "VOYAGE TO THE PREHISTORIC PLANET" (alias "Planet of Storms" from Russia), "VOYAGE TO THE PLANET OF PREHISTORIC WOMEN" (the non-sequel / butcher-job of the previous film), and "WOMEN OF THE PREHISTORIC PLANET" (totally unrelated to the others).

As someone else said, "MONSTER FROM THE PREHISTORIC ISLAND" would have made more sense.

But, hey-- why not just call it "GAPPA"?
