What was up with his buddies grabbing spoonfuls of his rice from the plate? Was it some sort of metaphor for the last supper? I couldn’t understand the real meaning.

shareI enjoyed the movie quite a bit. There’s a lot of good performances and there’s a lot to like in this movie, many memorable scenes like eggs eating and etc. That Luke’s grin always make me laugh. I was never a fan of Paul Newman before, but now I am. Really liked his performace and George Kennedy was pretty good too. Even that warden with his effeminate voice was hilarious. That evil warden in sunglasses who shot Luke, oh, boy, they made him look so evil! Pretty shocking ending, but not too surprising I guess, well, I’d be definitely watching this movie someday again for sure.
