50 eggs!?

Seriously, how is it humanly possible to eat that many within an hour without having serious complications afterwards? Can't the yolk be dangerous in such great amounts? I'm seriously wondering.

reply

I don't know.....ask the guy who ate 69 hot dogs in 10 minutes.

About 10 of us tried this when we were in college. We were all average sized guys and none were remotely gourmands. The best anyone could do was 39, I was able to do 35. Based on this I would say quite a few people could do it, I will say after 25 you think each new egg was laid by an ostrich! You would see some short term negative effects but nothing long term.

reply

You are right that that amount of yolk is a bad idea. I know a guy, huge he was and bulking up more for sports. He would go through what looked like around 30 eggs when training but remove the yolk. Maybe a one off 50 full eggs would be okay for a for a healthy man but its a bad idea regardless.

I'm sure Luke spent the next day or two infusing himself with epsom salts and pooping 4-5 times a day. But how he went back to work on the road a day or two afterwards is beyond me. This was a 35-40 year old man, not a 20 year old kid doing this!

How about the stench of this gas afterward. Must have destroyed the bunk house

I think Joey Chestnut could handle the 50 egg challenge...

never, never, ever, take health or dietary advice from an american. the OP and the commenters are proof positive.

reply

Absolutely correct. If we exclude the fact that I am neither American, nor have I ever offered dietary advice in this thread.

reply

Oh, shut up. 
