'Boston, Charlie!' - WTF? (alert: may contain spoilers)

So, when Daniel goes away from the villa to his Seychelles cruise, his farewell words to Adrien are: "Boston, Charlie!"

Is that New-Waveian code for "Good bye", a private joke among Adrien and Daniel which we are not privy of, or some other thing which escapes me?

Could any one shed some light on this, please?

'Deck us all with Boston Charlie' is the first line of a mangled Christmas carol that appeared in the Pogo comic strip. Given the subversive nature of the strip, it's popularity in the '50s and '60s, and the French love of American pop culture, its use would make sense as a hipster meme/greeting for folks like Daniel and Adrien.
