How could it NOT be this bad? Woody Allen writing a Bond script? I’m pretty sure, given the era, that drugs had a significant influence on decisions made about the film’s details. SEVEN James Bonds? Being the Bond aficionado that I am, I forced myself to watch it, and I was almost instantly hate-watching it, because it was made by people who hated James Bond. Compare this dung hill with, say, Galaxy Quest, in every way a better film and funnier by a couple light-years, also a spoof (of Star Trek), but clearly made by folks who love Star Trek. Galaxy Quest is lovely and fun. THIS movie is ugly and bitter.
