Potential goof + opinion

I'm not 100% sure right now, but I *think* there was a character goof in the script. When Sir JB confronts his nephew & uncovers his plot. When Niven says "...Kills all men *shorter* than 4' 6"."

Wasn't it supposed to be *over* 4' 6"?

Anyway, I watched this movie on dvd again last night after not seeing it since I was in my teens or maybe 20s. (40s now) & though I did laugh at some scenes, it really wasn't as funny as I'd remembered it. I hated to admit it to myself. My girlfriend lost interest after the 1st 45 mins. & I guess I don't blame her. We laughed most at the slapstick scenes.

Still, I love this film for the sake of it being such a strong reflection of the times & I love the main music.

Now you've done it, you made me pull out my dvd to check it. The recorded voice says "this germ...will make all women beautiful and destroy all men over four-foot-six." Sir James comments "So that's your plan, huh? A world full of beautiful women, and all men shorter than yourself."

Mind you, I thought I'd heard it the same way earlier on (certainly had to check) - I could picture them trying to finish the movie up, Woody Allen wasn't coming back for a reshoot, they say "ahh, the hell with it"...

Fly: It reminded me of Full Metal Jacket when the drill instructor says it should take "no less than 10 seconds" to get over the obstacle instead of "no more."

But in this case I think he says over...
