Richard Harris hated this movie!
Harris once got on plane, heard that Caprice was the in-flight movie and - promptly left the plane!

shareI don't believe that happened. You can't just walk on and off a plane at will (even in the 1960's) I think it's just a silly exagerated story, he might not have watched the film but he certainly just couldn't get off a plane because he felt like!.
shareYeah, it sounds like BS.
shareI think it's plausible.
If an over-eager airline employee announced to Harris - while checking him in at the gate prior to boarding - cried out "Oh gee Mr. Harris! They're showing 'Caprice' on the flight today, sir!", I can imagine Harris suddenly bolting and getting another flight.
"Don't call me 'honey', mac."
"Don't call me 'mac'... HONEY!"
Doris hated this film too.Her husband made her do this film.
shareAfter reading that I'm starting to think the "sweet" Ms Day has a bit of an attitude problem.
BTW anyone who saw it recently note in an early scene she calls "Christopher"
by the actor's real name Richard?

vpilutis, Christopher is impersonating Richard Burton performing Shakespeare, that's why she says, "I'm enjoying your performance, Richard."
shareGuess I missed that part of it.
You know in some ways people might have though of Harris as the poor man's Richard Burton. Same first name they both played in Camelot.

the Burton imitation wasn't a big plot point, it was more like a little inside joke. Christopher was seducing her by imitating Burton doing "Hamlet". And then at the very end, Patricia does the same to him.
shareI don't blame him. If I knew I was going to be stuck on a plane with this unappetizing movie I'd run to catch a different flight too.
