Can anyone explain...

...the curious title?

I realize the feminine duo said "Kiss me" about three times to a few different men, but (1.) they weren't monsters and (2.) I couldn't find any monsters in the movie, except for maybe the hunk with the IQ of a dog in the last act, but he wasn't really in it much and I don't remember either of the girls saying to him "Kiss me, Monster."

The title is merely exploitation. This movie is too gorgeously mad for any explanations.

Sorta like "Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!" (1965) or "Kill, Baby... Kill!" (1966). They're all lousy titles, but producers were trying to be "rad" or whatever to sell tickets to the new groovy counter-culture. It was a sign of the times.

I agree they were terrible titles as a lot of these movies were aimed at drive-ins and later grindhouse theatres. The posters had to be lurid and the titles had to have words like 'monster' or 'kill' in them.

If you're looking for an explanation for "monster" in the title, weren't the villains trying to use human cloning to create in effect monsters? They talked about how the mad scientist had made a few fully formed humans, but that they were dumb like dogs.

That explains it; thank you.
