Can anybody identify the town where the main street (strip?) action is filmed.
It looks like it may have been shot in a Northern California Beach town.

A lot of the street scenes were in Seal Beach, Main St. The "Irisher" bar is still there.
shareThe Huntington Shores Motel, where she runs away from Billy Jack after he beats up the gang the first time, is in Huntington Beach, California. It's pretty close to Seal Beach. In fact, that may be the SB pier in the background.
The "Irisher by the Sea" bar is on Main Street in Seal Beach, and it's still there.
At the link you can see what the storefront of the Irisher looks like today. (You can grab and rotate the camera view.) The businesses on both side of the street have been all gentrified. The look of the street has changed quite a bit in 47 years.
