re: Borgia Stick

I worked as an extra for two days on The Borgia Stick" which was rather unique, it was the first filmed-for-TV movie and quite a trip. We filmed for two days at the Purple Onion in the Village, the site where Inger Stevens was forced to work as a B-girl. They wanted a smoky atmosphere so passed out free cigarattes (this was 1967) and constantly sprayed the place. As a result everyone had a cold or sore throat by the end of the shoot.

My moment of glory was a quick shot sitting at the bar, I'm in a red sweater.

Inger Stevens (who had a rough life) was having bad days I guess, she was tough as nails and scremaing at everyone. This while being Miss Sweetness and Nice on TV's Farmer's Daughter.

Did get to meet Barry Nelson and through him, Lauren Bacall--they were both starring in Cactus Flower on Broadway at the time.

If anyone knows how I can get a copy of TBS please let me know, would love to see it again after all these years.

A couple of copies are available right now on ioffer.com. If you miss them, keep checking back. This site seems to be a popular place to sell niche DVDs.
