shareI liked this one as I was never bored and it had lots of fun touches.. until it reaches Texas and then it goes off the rails (though I still had fun watching it).
shareThis over-the-top movie would have been more palatable had it not besmirched the Harry Palmer franchise. (Worked with Abbott and Costello Meets Frankenstein but not here).
However, years later, it's a treat to see a young Michael Caine and such great character actors, Ed Begley, Karl Malden, Oscar Homolka. The pro-Soviet slant of the piece is easier to stomach given that the Soviet Empire collapsed (altho Putin has been trying to put the pieces back together).
