I really liked this movie. but one question!

I did a lot.
Yet how did angela kill them if she was away at school???

What would you do to get in?
THE IN CROWD

reply

I was wondering that myself. Plus she wouldn't have the skills to do it, until the end when she learned to throw knives.

Another user says flat out there were two murderers, Frank Hawkins being the other. He certainly had the motives, and he was in the bldg. when Dorando was murdered.

He seemed too obvious, so I figured the murderer had to be someone else. Well there was, Angela - and she was so crazy at the end she maybe just thought she did the others.

But it makes sense that Frank did the other murders, tho this is not made at all obvious, and most everyone seems to miss it.

SPOILER QUESTION.....

Another thing...when she was killed at the end...how did it happen??? I mean it shows lightning striking in the distance...then she falls into a puddle and there is smoke..was she electroted??? What the hell happened???

It wasn't as bad as Trog...and kind of suspenseful...it just didn't make any sense!!! lol

No, no..."cruelty." I always think that has a nobler ring to it.

reply

I think that was just bad editing! I think the point was that she was killed by lightning!

SPOILER ANSWER >>>>>>>>>

I think the lightning brought down some electrical cables which killed her.

reply

Yeah, and the 2 bobbies calmly kicked away the cable whilst standing in shallow water puddle.

Maybe their shoes were heavily insulated.

SPOILER ANSWER >>>>

But at the end Angela clearly says 'I had to kill them all!" implying that she was the only killer.

Next time, PLEASE indicate there is a spoiler coming. THanks very much.

The school marm explained that Angela would put pillows under the covers of her bed to give the illusion she was there; I suspect Angela used that decoy as a way to leave school and commit the earlier murders.

Correct me if I'm wrong, as I haven't seen this film in years, but...

I think it was because Angela was there the whole time. Wasn't there a scene where someone picked her up at the train station? If so, from what I remember, you didn't actually see her get off the train, you saw her coming around a corner or something as the train was pulling away. Just Pretending to have come off the train.

i don't remember that scene. the school mistress brings Angela to the circus and that's the first time we see her. she is mentioned to have sneaked out several times and had the whole school in an uproar. she could have only sneaked out when the circus was close enough to the school so that would explain the gap between the killings. the circus was near enough to the school on the night of the first killing that Angela could have snuck out and caught a bus or train to where the circus was performing and then rigged the tightrope.

while she was there she could have found a schedule of where the circus would be going next or she had a pamphlet or something, it wouldn't be that easy to find. after Derando is killed she might have seen that the circus would be too far away for her to get there and back in the space of one night so she got herself expelled. there's only two killings that happen before she joins the circus again so it's a possibility

There's something about flying a kite at night that's so unwholesome
