Unlisted actor?

Was that John Cleese whose hat is annointed by the pidgeon about half way through the movie? No lines, but it sure looked like Cleese to me--no listing for him in the cast, though.

reply

No it wasn't.

reply

Thanks for clearing that up, especially the compelling evidence to support your opinion.

How do you know it wasn't Cleese?

reply

In that he looked nothing like him.

And how no one except you has ever made the non-existent link.

If it was actually Cleese, don't you think Python obsessives or Peter Cook fans would've maybe spotted this first a long time ago? DUH.

(By the way, the actor playing Eleanor Bron is actually a cameo by Michael Palin)

.

reply

You don't think it looks like him, but I do. Prove me wrong.

I was REALLY hoping for something more substantive, but I guess it is hopeless.

reply

You made the dumb inaccurate statement, bubba - so it's up to you prove it factually. Good luck.

reply

I asked a question. YOU made the "dumb inaccurate statement" so please provide your proof.

If you don't have any evidence to answer the question then please keep quiet.

reply

John Cleese appears nowhere in this movie.

reply

What a brilliant response! "Blind or retarded."

Couldn't come up with anything else? Didn't feel like throwing in "stupid" or maybe some racial epithets? Maybe you should question my sexual orientation, as that ALWAYS wins the argument!

I guess your intellectual limitations have left you too inarticulate to have a meaningful dialogue.

reply

The man whose hat gets annointed is the age that you see Cleese now - elderly. But, in 1967, Cleese was not yet 30 years. So, he would've looked much younger, much as both Cook and Moore. I do not think Cleese was in "Bedazzled".

reply

Thanks for the response. It's been years now since I saw the movie so I may go back and re-check.

reply

No this is definitely NOT John Cleese.
At the time of filming Cleese was 28 years old.
The paused screen I see in front of me is of an older man with greying hair and a bald patch from his forehead to the top of his head and with a combover.
It DOES have a semblance of Cleese for sure. But footage of him at this time (MP etc) shows Cleese with a full head of brown hair.
The guy in the shot is probably in his mid 40s or more.

reply

It was Charles Lloyd Pack, an elderly English actor who usually played churchmen.

reply

Thanks for the response! Are you going to update the Cast listing? Do you have a link you can share?

reply

I thought he looked like Cleese.
