This movie is awful - and I can't stop watching it

Okay, so as a kid you read about this movie and you think, it's made by MGM, with visual effects by Tom Howard of 2001, and The Haunting fame. What could go wrong? Laughable makeup, a plot that wouldn't fly on an episode of Rocky and Bullwinkle and the cave sets that look like a dark ride at an old amusement park. It's...it's...so entertaining! I can't stop watching it! It's like cinematic crack. It's probably bad for you but I'm addicted! So glad I bought the limited edition DVD at Best Buy a few years ago. Somebody put this out on BluRay, please!

I look at it as a companion piece to "Bamboo Saucer", also from 1967.

Vivienne Ventura (good porn name!) was a reason to watch this, as well.

It's trash but the good kind of trash. I enjoyed it but I feel like ten minutes were missing. What happened to the other American soldiers? Did Chan Lu execute them?
