Can you tell me who sang the song "Eyes of Love" from that movie? Quincy Jones wrote the song and I know it was nominated for an Oscar. Did the film have a sound track LP?

Gil Bernal, a terrific musician, sang the vocal for the film. There was NO soundtrack album. Believe me I looked. Some years ago I tried tracking down all the Oscar nominated songs by their original artists. I got all but 7. I finally found "The Eyes of Love" on e-bay (I paid way too much). Someone sold a rare 45rpm of the song (probably issued in 1968 for Academy voting). It had several versions of the song (Gil Bernal, Jack Jones, Marlena Shaw, Andre Kostelantz, and Trini Lopez!). It's a great song (much better than 'Talk to the Animals') and it was played by the orch. when Q received the Hersholt award in 1995.

I'm looking for it too...

If you're still looking, let me know. Also own the Academy promotional 45 with all the versions.

Recently received a gift from someone connected with the film -- a CD of the unreleased Q soundtrack. There's noting better!

I alsways thaought this was a made for TV film so I'm shocked the song was nominated? You remember it though it sticks with you even if it's never heard.
