Would love to see this movie again

"Alexandre" is one of my all-time favorite movies, and I'd love to see it again. But it appears to be unavailable in DVD or VHS. Does anyone know where/how I might secure a copy?

I also rate this movie as one of my all-time favorites. Have you been able to get a copy and if so, how?

reply

Me too, re Alexander. My poor quality very old video tape copy seems to indicate it's a Warner Bros. film. Do you know it that's true? Can't we get after WB to reissue or whatever?!

reply

I don't know, I just can't find it. I saw it once on TV but I didn't record it that time, I said to myself: «If it is so good, I'll buy it»

Yeah right, great reflex dude. I discovered that I couldn't buy it. What to do then???

The only thing I could imagine was collapsing on the floor to cry.

It is realy one of the movies that influenced me the most. Sorry I am not giving you any answer on your question, but I had to share my sadness with yours.

Alexandre, où vas-tu?
Je vais voir

It's one of my all time favorites too. Do you recall the channel that showed it? We might be able to call it and have it aired again!
When is some business savvy going to realize what they're missing for not releasing this on dvd or at least video!

Hi there Alicia,

The only problem is that I am not sure that there is any english subtitles.

Take care and have fun

I agree it's one of the greatest, and that dog is the greatest on film I've ever seen.

You can get it here from France www.amazon.fr

You can get it from England, too, but the European films play on a different frequency, which, as far as I know, cannot be played on American VCRs or DVD players

I saw it on TV the other day
