Amazon Canada has a November 7, 2006, release date for a DVD, which would be a Region 1 DVD, same as the US. The page doesn't say anything about subtitles yet.

I've been wanting to see Alexandre again for years, too.

The movie is in French with no English subtitles. I purchased it and have yet to watch it.
