Homage to 'Last Year at Marienbad'

The trance-like scene with Stephen and Francesca, with their disembodied voices speaking in the background, is apparently a nod to the 1961 French classic "Last Year at Marienbad". They even hired the same actress, Delphine Seyrig, from that French film to play Francesca.

Apparently. Although I must say that particular scene did actually threaten to get overly, well, "artsy" for its own good. And I didn´t recognize Seyrig at all though in that blonde wig.
