Didn't quite get it, but nice to watch.

I don't speak Italian and the subtitles were a bit out of sync. So I didn't quite get everything in this film. Who ordered the killings? Was it the lawyer? I suppose it was. And why were they killed? I got the impression that one of the killed men had gathered some information about the lawyer. But what was this information about? Was it ever mentioned? So it was not the man, who got the anonymous letters, who was the main target of the killing. And the widow - was she somehow involved in it? Did she know about the killing of her husband and the professor?

Many quiestions. But still, it was an interesting watch. I like to watch such relatively obscure films from other times and places.
