I have a childhood memory of a "scary" episode of this show -- some sort of dream sequence in which Trixie is chasing after Speed, or who she thinks is Speed. She is calling after him but he ignores her. Eventually "he" turns around and it is not Speed but instead some demon or monster of sorts who then laughs in a sinister way. Any help with this?? Was this an actual episode, and if so which one?

I saw that when I was about 8. I kept thinking of that through the years off and on. I think that may actually have been a dream someone had who was connected to the show and encorporated that into the episode. Probably would NOT be made today due to the disturbing nature of that sequence.
Some of those episodes contained extremely high drama. Who was the target audience? Don't know. Older kids? Your thoughts?
I agree vcl3-1. This and Marine Boy were extremely dramatic and violent.
As a kid growing up watching this, I really didn't understand that it was so violent. But they were japanese anime and they are normally realistically violent.
