What episode does Speed find out Racer X is his brother?

I remember the ending of a episode where Speed is running at a race track after Racer X cause he knows he's his brother.
What's the name of that episode?

Hi all!

That would be "The Trick Race," episode #50 of the series.

I'm sure I just watched it.
That's where Racer X punches Speed in the stomach.
Knocks speed out.
Not the one I'm asking about.

Nonetheless, that is the correct answer.

You might mean Challenge Of The Masked Racer Part 2, but Speed never did know that Racer X was his brother.

It was "The Trick Race," which, although it's usually listed as coming before "Race Around the World," had to have come after, since Speed and Rex meet in the RAtW and nothing is said about it. And at the end, we hear Rex "think," "Speed suspected I was his older brother but he never found out for sure."

And besides, it was the only one where we don't hear the voice of Jack Curtis say, "Unknown to Speed, Racer X is really his older brother, Rex, who ran away from home years ago."

There was also a finality about "Trick Race" that marked it as being the last.

Hi all!

The airing order for Speed Racer is the same as the original broadcast order for Mach GoGoGo in Japan. From that, the episode that became Speed Racer's "The Trick Race" was episode #50, followed by the final two episodes of the series, which became "Race Around the World" parts 1 and 2, as episode #'s 51 and 52.

The problem with that is that Speed meets Racer X/Rex during the Russian leg of the "race around the world" and is scolded by X/Rex for giving his spare gasoline to his opponent. X/Rex then drives off, leaving Speed crushed and in tears...before Sparky discovers the gas he left them. At no point does Speed address him as anyone but the same unknown racer he has encountered for months. Even if the translation was botched (which certainly happened at times during the series), it would still be obvious to the viewer whether Speed knew him as his long-lost brother.

I first saw the series during its initial American run in the late 60s and "The Trick Race" was aired AFTER "Race Around the World," which worked perfectly as far as Speed and Rex were concerned. After X/Rex saves the day again, the bulb finally goes on over Speed's head and as soon as he confronts Rex with The Question, Rex cold-cocks him, says he's done with racing and slips away. How could this have possibly occurred BEFORE the event described above? It simply doesn't work.

Hi all!

I won't argue with your logic, except to point out that all the logic in the world doesn't change the simple facts that, in the original Japanese broadcast order, whose broadcast order was carried over to Speed Racer, "The Trick Race" aired before "Race Around the World," and "Race Around the World" was the series finale. You may not feel this should be correct, but disagreeing with it won't change the facts.
