Best series ever!!!

I am very young but I've seen this series a year ago. I was totally amazed. There is no killing-fighting, drugs etc. It's old I now but it's cool. What do you think?

Dear Sultanna,
you are absolutely right!

This seven episodes were very important for my life until today.

Did you see them in Germany?

Best wishes

i used to watch this series back in the 60's when i was a kid , i loved it , was very exciting. was before star trek. so i belive it is one of the best serieses from the 60's . i have seen way more then just 7 epesodes . there must be more out there somewhere. i wish i could find them , but my search has not been fruitful at all. maybe some of you know the answer .

Believe it, there a only 7 episodes! Each and every reference book (especially I recommend the Hardcover book written by Josef Hilger which exhaustly tells you almost everything concerning this series), newpaper article or what else lists no more further epiosdes. Perhaps your childhood memory serves you wrong or you had read those countless novels (mostly written by Perry Rhodan-novelists) aubout RAUMPATROUILLE which continued the series events somewhat. But there are definetely only 7 episodes!

Best wishes

Well, just to confirm that if you have viewed this in the sixties as I did - you are never, NEVER, gonna doubt about it's qualities... any younger viewer should really try to forget about all new stuff he's seen in TV, Internet, Gaming... You must really try to travel back in time: what did we have on the TV these times? Nothing. And certainly NOOOOO CGI etc... so please, don't even dare to think of criticizing this wonderful mini series!! I remember clearly sitting in Switzerland before the TV set, waiting for ARD1 or whatever on a Saturday afternoon to broadcast this. Wooow, the water running in circle when the space ship soars, the funny sounds... we were thrilled by anything in the film, we did not realize how cheap it was made. We were just amazed of it. And really thrilled. The first steps into science fiction (for me, yeah). Nowadays, as I have a enormous collection of films from any decade, but here let's just say I have almost all old SF films, I suggest you take on your old viewing glasses to see this one. I definitely enjoy watching these films, I cheer every time when I see the IRON, the MOST CULT object in SF anyway (right next to Plan 9)! So be a happy consumer of past films and don't mickeymouse around. - Besides this, when you see their "future inspired" dancing sceenes in the bar, wow, a) it's glorious to watch (=horrible but fun), but b)... you should check out this dancing scene, 1966's film Teenage Gang Debs, by Sande Johnsen, Raumpatroulie: it just gives pleasure how silly and simple we were some 50 years ago... yep, the innocence has been lost. Happy viewing!

I agree with you, miloustein.
I watched all the episodes in Italy (they were dubbed in Italian, of course) in the 70's and I have to tell you that they are etched in my memory because of the plot, which was way, way smarter than today's CGI's filled Sci-Fi series.
About the Iron and the ice cream claws I think that they were in line with the stuff we were finding around the house when we were playing "Space Explorers", isn't it?

Space Patrol/Raumpatrouille has some excellent music by the late Peter Thomas. Musician Mike Patton is a fan of it.

The Space Patrol theme music is impressive:

DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOOOOOO DOOOOOO DOOOOOO
DADADAHHHHHHHHH BOMBOMBOBMBOBMBBOM
BOMAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

What seems like a fairy tale today
can be reality tomorrow...
