Many of us feel the same way. I think I'll have to stop by ABC in NYC and find out anything if I can about this coming to DVD. There are few shows left that I'm still waiting for, but this is #1 on the list.

Remember when TVLand first made its debut, and how we all were excited about it's potential to rediscover lost tv classics?
That didn't last too long...
I wish there were more channels showing older series unlikely to apppear on dvd.

I agree. It was probably teh most realistic NY police show I've ever seen

Yes-this show needs to be on DVD. Even though it's in the long vanished 30 minute format for crime shows this show still manages to tell a great story in that short time. You Tube has couple eps on and that opening theme is as great as I remembered it from the last time I saw this on TV in reruns over 30 years ago. Some of those You Tube eps even have the original network commercials in them!

I thought I was the only person in the world who even remembered this show! I watched it every week and loved it; I was just a kid then, too. I had a great love of actors and good acting even then, and this show had some terrific guest stars as well as the 3 regulars.
I sure agree that it needs to come out on DVD. Now that "Honey West" is coming out - another show I thought no one else remembered - maybe there's hope yet for N.Y.P.D. I agree with the comments here about TVLand. Glad I don't even get that channel anymore because I'd never watch it.
I'm now at that age where I can barely remember what I had for breakfast this morning but I still remember the theme music from N.Y.P.D.!

Why does TVLand suck so much now?
I remember when it used to be great, about 15 years ago or so when I was still a kid.
Oh well. :( When will they realize we DON'T want to see original programming on there, we want to see old shows! That was the whole point!!!
